Spring Classic 2024
A great day for some fast bunch training in Belgium Tour de Flandres Style. See below the results of the 33km lumpy course with start and finish at the Ruatangate Community Hall. During the Less Than Serious price giving waffles and hot choccolate were on the menu. There were also some very unique bikes and legendary kit worn at the Spring Classic today. Our LTS awards of Guylian Premium Belgian Chocolate went to:
Graham for his 1979 Peugeot and kit just like Belgian Eddy Merckx.
Ric for his own French Trade Team top. He assures me he did cross the border into Belgium once.
Claire for her immaculate red Moulton. English I know but what a bike and she rode the full distance.
Joy for her real UCI World Champion stripes. She is in great company with the current Belgian World Champs who are??
The supply of chocolate has run out but it was fun today and we loved seeing riders getting into the theme.
Thanks all for showing up and special thanks to Ruth Jarman taking solely care of starting the riders, timekeeping at the finish and all the maths afterwards to get to some sort of classification!

Club Championships 2024
​​
​
The 2024 Club Championships took place on Sunday 7th of April.
​
The event was open to all club members and also non-members. 19 riders registered to take part in the event with some riders completing all 3 events, while others did 1 or 2 events.
A special thanks to the volunteers who marshalled, time kept, helped set up and cleaned up afterwards - without them the event couldn’t happen.

Winter Tar Gravel Series 2024
​Three winter tar-gravel events were held during winter. Great events with many participants, members as well as non-members, distributed over three Sunday mornings. The course was a loop of16km and ridden 1 or 2 times. After the riding there was soup, bread rolls, drinks and Less Serious Price giving! Please see the below schedules for the results. Many thanks to all volunteers to support these rides, from marshals and timekeepers, to cooks, to photographers!
